Founded in 1986, the Associates are dedicated friends of the Dominicans who commit to a special annual membership gift (typically $250+) during Lent / Easter to support the most urgent needs of the friars. Membership in the Associates is recognized in the Cloister Garden of St. Albert Priory, along with with other intangible religious benefits.
For over three decades, the Associates of St. Dominic have been a special group of friends who commit to making an additional annual gift of $250, typically during Lent/Easter.
These unrestricted funds give the Prior Provincial added flexibility in addressing the most urgent needs of the friars.
In this way, the Associates of St. Dominic embrace the mendicant tradition of the Dominicans, helping the friars devote their lives to teaching and preaching the Gospel of Christ.
In gratitude for the faithful support of the Associates, membership is recognized in the following ways:
You’ll be remembered in the intentions of first Saturday Masses at St. Albert Priory, the Dominican House of Studies.
Your name will be listed on the Associates of St. Dominic Honor Roll, and posted in the cloister of St. Albert Priory for all the friars to see. Anonymous listings always honored.
You’ll receive our Dominican shield pin to share your support of the Province.
You’ll receive invitations to important Dominican celebrations and liturgies.
You’ll be remembered in the daily prayers of friars across the Province.

Dominican friars have been one of the largest influences on my faith, particularly while participating in their campus ministry at the University of Washington. Spending such a formative time with priests who not only openly and clearly preach the truth, but are also relatable models of how to live the Catholic faith, has taught me how to be an authentic Catholic young adult and show the beauty of God’s love to others.
