Who May Enter?
The characteristics of a Dominican vocation are:
♦ a deep faith in Jesus Christ and His Gospel;
♦ a profound love of the sacraments, especially of the Eucharist and its common daily celebration;
♦ an appreciation for common life and prayer with its round of regular observance,
♦ an attraction to study and
♦ a lively zeal for the apostolate.
All candidates to the Western Dominican Province must be:
between twenty and forty years old, male, and
candidates to the priesthood must have completed a bachelor's degree.
The entry date each year is usually in mid-August. The province admissions board reviews applications for the following Fall in April and in June.
If a recent convert, one must be a Catholic for at least three years before applying.
