Br. Francis de Assisi James Marion, OP
Br. Francis was one of the few vocations that was cut short in studies due to death.
He was born James Marion April 14, 1863 in San Francisco. Twenty years later, he was
received in the Dominican Order and a year later in 1884 he made simple vows. He was
a good student and tragically died of tuberculosis four days shy of his twenty-fifth
birthday at St. Dominic's in Benicia, California. We do not know his dreams for the
Order, but we do pray that God grant him his heart's desire.
