Rev.
Br. Pasquale Ernesto Manalio-Passarelli, OP
Br. Pasquale was ordained a deacon in the early 00's after being a cooperator brother (permanent
brother) for many, many years. He has been a missionary friar most of life, and recently
returned to working in a missionary setting. Being a person of great faith, conviction, and
dedication he goes about his ministry by loving the people and loving God. When asked about
his recent social justice ministry in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico in staffing the
Casa del Migrante ministry, he responded:
"Migration has been around ever since Adam and Eve hit the road with
their backpacks full of fig leaves. The stories of the migrants passing through here, run
the gamut from the funny to the fatal. With endemic poverty being the driving force, the
Migrants Jesus, Maria and Jose are still seeking to find a haven and give birth to a brighter
future."
