Fr. John Evans, OP
I first encountered the Dominican friars while attending the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.  After completing a B.S. (Economics) degree, I worked for five years as a computer programmer and manager.  I entered the novitiate in 1996.

While with the Dominicans I earned a B.A. (Philosophy), and Masters of Divinity.   Aside from academics, I was privileged to spend my pastoral residency year at All Saints Catholic Newman Center at Arizona State University.  This pastoral experience was invaluable, and I met so many wonderful people.   I also spent a summer in the Clinical Pastoral Education program at Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Oregon.  This experience taught me many skills as well.   I was ordained to the diaconate on May 1, 2003, and to the priesthood on May 29, 2004.

I enjoy moral theology, playing guitar, web development, MLB, scuba diving, fly fishing, and a game of chess now and then.  To read more about my vocation story and more, see the links below.
