Br. Nick was born in the Philippines
and spent his childhood in Bangkok, Thailand. He graduated from the University of
Pennsylvania with a B.S. degree majoring in Bioengineering. After a year teaching
the fifth grade at Ruamrudee International School in Bangkok, he attended MIT where he
earned a Ph.D. in Biology in 1996. He entered the novitiate of the Eastern Province of the
United States in 1997 after meeting the Dominicans in London, England. He is
currently in his first year of philosophy at the DSPT and is interested in the
relationship between science and religion. His motto: "To Be a Fool for
