Consecrated Life Panel

Prince of Peace Catholic Newman Center at the University of Washington recently hosted a panel discussion on religious life.

Moderated by Patheos blogger and Newman Center parishioner, Artur Rosman, the event was just one of many Prince of Peace has hosted as part of the worldwide celebration of the Year of Consecrated Life. The panel included Dominicans, Carmelites, and Jesuits, as well as sisters representing the Franciscans of Philadelphia, Society of Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity, and Order of the Holy Name.

Attendees, many of whom are students at the university, listened attentively as panel members shared their vocation stories, discussed the diversity of charisms associated with their communities, and challenged everyone to see how the religious vocation is still relevant in the life of the Church.
