Fr. Michael
Sweeney, OP

Fr. Gregory
Rocca, OP |
Fr. Sweeney comes to our graduate school from
Seattle, Washington. There he founded the
St. Catherine of Siena Institute,
which has grown very rapidly. This ministry is dedicated to
the lay apostolate and mission in the Church. The Institute's
popularity speaks of the thirst of the laity for the further
exploration of their unique role in the Church and the innovation
and leadership of Fr. Sweeney.
The Province owes a debt of gratitude to
Fr. Gregory Rocca,
OP, the current President. He has worked very hard to
further the efforts of our school in educating our seminarians and
making Catholic higher education available to the laity. Thank
you to Fr. Gregory for his nine years of leadership as the DSPT
President.
This is an exciting time for Catholic higher
education and for our Province. The DSPT will be relocating
and is in the process of acquiring a new property. We look
forward to continuing our presence at the Graduate Theological Union
and bringing our solid and unique Thomistic tradition into this
academic arena!
