January 29, 2003
In a very general
way, here is an account of the day's significant events.
4:15 AM
It is the wee hours of the early morning. Two of the secretaries worked all day, and
then all night to finish the Acta. It is duplicated and prepared for
Rome. Each of the Diffinitors and the Provincial all received an unofficial copy to
take with them. Next, we'll make a trip to the post office and some other errands.
2:26 PM
The secretaries have been preparing the materials to go into the archives, cleaning-up,
and other miscellaneous duties. Only one piece of news:
APPOINTMENT
Fr. Edward Krasevac, OP, Secretary of the Province Corporation
NB. All new appointments, assignments or
other postings from the Chapter were made before the Diffinitorium concluded and
adjourned. Announcing them to you will come after the paperwork is processed, etc.
This means, the above appointment was actually made and dated yesterday, it is only
now that it is officially announced. Likewise, a letter from the Provincial Office
is being sent out to the friars of the Province in the customary manner. |
