Ah, the Tour. The best of
times, the worst of times. A place where a
young man may find his freedom upon the gray and
black asphalt of the American Highway, gracing each city with a subtle blend of ministry,
fun, excitement and adrenaline…or look upon the monstrous white van with tearful
eyes, seeing a thing of torture second only to
a continuous play of the SAME Greatest Hits anthology
of the SAME band, being played over, and over, and over, and over…and over
again…, the van rolling, plodding along with its alien sounds, ripped hoses, cracking
windows, yelling, kickin’-and-screamin’, praying,
and wishing for the glorious martyrdom of yourself and your brothers. (And this was while we were packing to leave.) So let us begin.
